Ninety sessions of showing up — for yourself.
My Humble Workout Journal is a guided log for the everyday workout: the Tuesday gym session after work when you're tired, the Saturday run that wasn't fast but was yours, the yoga class you almost skipped but didn't, the walk you took because you needed air. Not the training of champions — the movement that takes care of you, week after week, year after year. That's worth recording.
This isn't a training plan and it isn't a fitness tracker dressed up as a journal. It asks three honest things of you: show up (not perfectly, not every day — just when you said you would), be honest about how it felt, and be kind to yourself when you miss sessions, because you will. The journal doesn't judge, and it's built so you don't either. Harsh self-talk after a missed session is the single most common reason people abandon movement; this journal is designed around the opposite instinct — come back without drama, start from where you are.
Over ninety sessions the record compounds. You log each session while the detail is honest, pause every tenth to look at the stretch as a whole, and review every thirty to see what's actually shifted. By the end you're not chasing a transformation — you're reading the evidence that you kept a commitment to yourself, over and over. It's built for any movement and any level: gym, running, swimming, yoga, cycling, walking, sport, dance, or a combination. The right workout is the one you'll come back to — often the gentle one.
What's inside
-
Before you begin — An honest portrait of your movement life right now: what you're doing, how you feel about it, your starting energy and body, a realistic weekly intention (not a plan), the minimum that counts on a hard day, your movement buddy, and a letter to yourself to open at session 90.
-
The session log (the core — 90 sessions) — A fast two-page spread for each session: what you did, duration and location, energy in and out, how hard you worked, and — every time — whether you enjoyed it. Plus the honest bit: the best moment, what you noticed about your body, and how you feel about having shown up. Undated and filled in order, one per session you actually do — never tied to a calendar.
-
The check-in (every tenth session) — A warmer, more spacious pause: the ten sessions as a whole, body and recovery, a self-compassion check on how you spoke to yourself about the hard or missed ones, and what the next ten need.
-
The block pause (every thirty sessions) — A wider look back: your consistency score, most enjoyable and proudest sessions, your energy trend, what the block taught you, and an intention for the next thirty.
-
Session 90 — The loop closes. You reopen the letter from before your first session and answer honestly — what actually happened, what surprised you, how your body feels now, and the version of yourself that kept showing up. You didn't become someone else. You became more reliably yourself.
-
Reference — The science of showing up, explained simply and warmly: why consistency beats intensity, the 66-day threshold, what actually counts as movement, what to do when the habit breaks, and why all of this matters for mood, stress, sleep, and self-trust — not just the body.
